All 32 NHL clubs by division and conference, with Stanley Cup counts. Draft franchises for a playoff pool or a full-season pick-em.

Why this one

NHL Franchise Draft Board

A hockey playoff pool lives or dies on the draft being clean. Sixteen teams, a room full of people who all want the same two, and a paper list is how you end up with two people convinced they took Colorado.

The pool here is all 32 clubs with division, conference and Stanley Cup counts attached. Use the whole league for a season-long draft, or drop it to the playoff field once the bracket is set.

The board is shared state, not a screenshot. When someone takes a club it is gone on every screen at the same instant, which removes the only argument a team pool ever really has.

How it works

Running a NHL team draft board

1. Load the league

All 32 NHL clubs appear with division, conference and Stanley Cup counts. Remove any club you do not want on the board before you start.

2. Set the draft up for your pool

Choose how many people are drafting and how many clubs each one gets, then pick snake so the order evens out across rounds.

3. Run it before the puck drops

Put a clock on each pick so the whole thing fits in the time you actually have — a 32-club draft takes minutes, not an evening.

4. Share one link and draft it live

Send the join link, set a pick clock, and everyone picks from the same board in real time. Spectators can follow along without an account, and the pick feed updates on every screen at once.

FAQ

NHL Franchise Draft Board questions

Can I use it for a playoff pool?

Yes. Trim the board to the sixteen clubs that made it once the field is set, then draft those. The template is the starting pool, and you decide what stays on it.

Can I draft skaters rather than clubs?

Import a CSV of players and the board runs a player draft exactly the same way. This template just saves you building the club list by hand.

Does everyone need an account?

Only to pick. Anyone can watch a public draft as a spectator with no account, which covers everyone in the group chat who wants to see it happen.

How much does it cost?

$49, once. That is a LiveDraft Lifetime license: unlimited drafts, unlimited participants, every feature, forever. It is not a subscription and there are no per-draft or per-seat fees.

Do the people I invite have to pay?

No, and they never will. Everyone you invite plays free, forever. No seats, no per-player fees, no account upsell. Only the person running the draft needs a license, so a twelve-person league costs $49 in total.

Is it a subscription? Does it expire?

Neither. You pay once and the license is yours permanently — no renewals, no expiry, no card kept on file for later.

What features does the license include?

All of them. Every format (snake, standard, auction, hybrid), custom CSV datasets with unlimited rating columns, photos on the board, anonymous auction bidding, live chat, spectating, auto-pick, the template library, and priority support. There is no higher tier to buy.

Do I need to know how to code or use a spreadsheet?

No. Start from a ready-made template in one click, or upload a simple CSV. We provide a downloadable template with the columns already set up for you.

How many people can join a draft?

As many as your format needs. Invite friends by username, set the draft order, and everyone joins the live room from any device — no installs required.

What draft formats are supported?

Standard and snake drafts, budget auctions with anti-snipe and max bids, and a hybrid mode that auctions the top of your board before drafting the rest.

What happens if someone loses connection?

The clock is server-authoritative, so the draft stays in sync for everyone. Anyone who drops can reconnect and resume exactly where they left off, and optional auto-pick keeps things moving on the clock.

Can other people watch our draft?

Yes — flip on public spectating and anyone with the link can follow along pick by pick, live.
