Halloween Candy Draft
Forty candies, ranked and tiered, drafted between colleagues. It takes five minutes, it requires no knowledge of anything, and it will produce a stronger reaction than any all-hands.
The tiers exist to make the early rounds mean something. When the top tier runs out you can watch the room notice, which is the whole appeal of a draft compressed into about ninety seconds.
Run it in October in a room, or over a link for a remote team. Either way it is the lowest-effort office event that people actually remember.
Running a Halloween candy draft
1. Open the candy board
Forty candies load already ranked and tiered, so the value on the board is visible from the first pick.
2. Get everyone in
Share the join link in the team chat. Nobody needs an account to watch, and joining takes seconds.
3. Run a short snake draft
Three or four rounds on a thirty-second clock. The whole thing is over before anyone can overthink it.
4. Share one link and draft it live
Send the join link, set a pick clock, and everyone picks from the same board in real time. Spectators can follow along without an account, and the pick feed updates on every screen at once.

How long does it take?
About five minutes for a small team. Forty candies and a thirty-second clock is deliberately fast — the point is the reaction, not the strategy.
Can I change the candy list?
Yes. Import your own list as a CSV — regional favourites, the contents of the actual bowl, or whatever your office is arguing about this year.
Does it work for a remote team?
Yes. Everyone drafts from one link in a browser, and the board updates live for everyone at once, which is closer to being in the room than a spreadsheet ever gets.
How much does it cost?

How many people can join a draft?
As many as your format needs. Invite friends by username, set the draft order, and everyone joins the live room from any device — no installs required.
What draft formats are supported?
Standard and snake drafts, budget auctions with anti-snipe and max bids, and a hybrid mode that auctions the top of your board before drafting the rest.
What happens if someone loses connection?
The clock is server-authoritative, so the draft stays in sync for everyone. Anyone who drops can reconnect and resume exactly where they left off, and optional auto-pick keeps things moving on the clock.
