Formula 1 Draft Board
An F1 league usually means picking this year’s grid and scoring points for twenty-four Sundays. This board is the other kind: forty-five drivers who have actually won a Grand Prix, from Fangio to Verstappen, and you are dividing seventy-five years of the sport between you.
Ranking is by career wins, which is the only number in F1 nobody argues about. What people do argue about is what a win was worth — Clark’s twenty-five in a car with no seatbelts, or Hamilton’s hundred-and-six across nineteen seasons. That argument is the draft.
Because the board is grouped by era, a roster built entirely from the last decade looks very different from one built on the seventies. There is no right answer, which is the point: the table settles the order and the room settles everything else.
Running a Formula 1 draft
1. Open the paddock board
Forty-five Grand Prix winners load already ranked by career victories, each tagged with the era they first won in and the country they raced under.
2. Pick a format
Three rounds and a snake order is the usual shape — fast enough to finish over one race weekend, deep enough that the eras start to matter.
3. Argue about eras, not numbers
The wins column is settled, so the only question left is what each one was worth. Filter by era to see how thin a decade really is before you reach for it.
4. Share one link and draft it live

Is this this season’s grid?
No — it is every driver who has ever won a Grand Prix, so it does not go stale between seasons. If you want to draft the current grid instead, upload the twenty drivers as a CSV and draft that on the same board.
Where do the win counts come from?
They are transcribed from the published all-time Grand Prix winners table and cross-checked against a second, independent tally on the same source. Every driver that appeared in both agreed. The board says when it was last checked.
Can I draft constructors too?
Not from this board — it is drivers only, and no single team is the right answer for someone who won for three of them. Add a constructors CSV as a second dataset and run a separate draft, or merge the two into one list before you upload it.
How much does it cost?
$29, once. That is a LiveDraft Lifetime license: unlimited drafts, unlimited participants, every feature, forever. It is not a subscription and there are no per-draft or per-seat fees.
Do the people I invite have to pay?
No, and they never will. Everyone you invite plays free, forever. No seats, no per-player fees, no account upsell. Only the person running the draft needs a license, so a twelve-person league costs $29 in total.
Is it a subscription? Does it expire?
Neither. You pay once and the license is yours permanently — no renewals, no expiry, no card kept on file for later.

Do I need to know how to code or use a spreadsheet?

How many people can join a draft?
As many as your format needs. Invite friends by username, set the draft order, and everyone joins the live room from any device — no installs required.
What draft formats are supported?
Standard and snake drafts, budget auctions with anti-snipe and max bids, and a hybrid mode that auctions the top of your board before drafting the rest.
What happens if someone loses connection?
The clock is server-authoritative, so the draft stays in sync for everyone. Anyone who drops can reconnect and resume exactly where they left off, and optional auto-pick keeps things moving on the clock.
Can other people watch our draft?
