Office pools, upgraded

Run your office pool as a live draft

A spreadsheet nobody opens is not an event. A draft is. Put your whole team on one clock — in the room, remote, or both — and let people pick on the record, one at a time.

Why bother

Why a draft beats a spreadsheet

The format is the whole point. Picking in turn, against a clock, in front of everyone is what makes an office pool memorable.

01

Everyone is actually there

A shared clock means the whole group shows up at the same time. Fifteen minutes of real attention beats a form that trickles in over a week.

02

Scarcity makes it fun

Once somebody takes your pick, it is gone. That single rule creates all the groaning, negotiating, and trash talk that a bracket sheet never will.

03

Nobody has to do admin

No tallying, no chasing people for their picks, no version conflicts. The board is the record, and it updates itself as picks land.

04

Remote teams get the same room

The clock is server-authoritative, so a colleague three time zones away sees the exact same countdown. Auto-pick covers anyone stuck in a meeting.

Any list works. One column of names is enough to draft — download the CSV template, fill it in, upload it, go live.

FAQ

Office draft questions

How do I run a office draft?

Pick a template (or upload a CSV of your picks), invite everyone by link, set the order, and hit start. The draft runs itself on a shared clock — most groups are drafting within five minutes of signing up.

Does everyone need an account?

Anyone drafting needs a free account so their picks are theirs, but joining takes seconds from the invite link. Spectators need nothing at all — flip on public spectating and they just watch.

Can we do this with a remote or hybrid team?

That is the point. The clock is server-authoritative, so everyone sees the same board and the same countdown whether they are in the conference room or three time zones away. Auto-pick covers anyone stuck in a meeting.

What if we have nothing to draft from?

Start from a template in the marketplace and edit it, or paste your own list into the CSV template we generate for you. A office draft pool is usually one column of names.

When should we schedule it?

Any afternoon you want the team in one room is the natural moment, but you can schedule a draft for any date and time and everyone gets the same link. Drafts of four or fewer people are free.

Is LiveDraft-It free?

Drafts with 4 or fewer participants are completely free. Larger drafts have a simple one-time price based on size — and every feature, including everything that used to be premium, is included at every tier.

How much does a draft cost?

Pricing is per draft, based on the number of participants (teams): up to 4 is free, 5–8 is $5, 9–16 is $10, and 17 or more is $20. That is a one-time charge for the whole draft — no subscription and no per-seat fees.

Do I have to pay extra for premium features?

No. Item photos, custom cover images, anonymous auction bidding, and priority support are all included in every draft at no additional cost — even on free drafts.

Do I need to know how to code or use a spreadsheet?

No. Start from a ready-made template in one click, or upload a simple CSV. We provide a downloadable template with the columns already set up for you.

How many people can join a draft?

As many as your format needs. Invite friends by username, set the draft order, and everyone joins the live room from any device — no installs required.

What draft formats are supported?

Standard and snake drafts, budget auctions with anti-snipe and max bids, and a hybrid mode that auctions the top of your board before drafting the rest.

What happens if someone loses connection?

The clock is server-authoritative, so the draft stays in sync for everyone. Anyone who drops can reconnect and resume exactly where they left off, and optional auto-pick keeps things moving on the clock.

Can other people watch our draft?

Yes — flip on public spectating and anyone with the link can follow along pick by pick, live.
