## Office Superlatives Draft

Thirty awards, drafted rather than voted on. Drafting them is what makes it work: you pick the award, then you decide who it goes to, and defending that choice out loud is the entire game.

It fits an offsite, a holiday party, or an end-of-quarter hour that would otherwise be a retrospective nobody wanted. No preparation, no slides, and it scales from six people to sixty.

Swap the list for your own if your team has running jokes worth formalising. The board does not care what is on it.

## Running a office superlatives draft

1. **Load the awards.** Thirty superlative awards appear on the board, ready to be claimed.
2. **Draft the awards, not the people.** Each person takes turns claiming an award, then names who they are giving it to. The claiming is public and the reasoning is the fun part.
3. **Keep it to a few rounds.** Two or three rounds each is plenty. Set a short clock so nobody agonises over a joke award.
4. **Share one link and draft it live.** Send the join link, set a pick clock, and everyone picks from the same board in real time. Spectators can follow along without an account, and the pick feed updates on every screen at once.

## Office Superlatives Draft questions

### Can I write my own awards?

Yes, and for most teams that is the better version. Import a CSV of your own awards — the in-jokes land harder than anything generic.

### How big a group does this work for?

Six to sixty. Larger groups usually draft in one round with more spectators than drafters, which works fine — spectators need no account to watch.

### Do we need to be in the same room?

No. It runs from one shared link, so a distributed team drafts exactly the same way an in-person one does.
