## NBA Franchise Draft Board

This is a board for drafting NBA franchises, not NBA prospects. If you came looking for a big board of incoming rookies, this is not that — this is thirty clubs, drafted between friends, for a season-long pool.

Each club carries its division, conference and championship count, which is enough context to make the middle of the draft interesting. The banner count in particular is what turns pick eleven into a debate.

Team pools work in an office because the barrier is nil. Nobody needs to know a rotation to have an opinion about the Celtics, and a thirty-item board drafts fast enough to fit in a lunch break.

## Running a NBA team draft board

1. **Load the 30 clubs.** Every NBA franchise is on the board with division, conference and its championship count already attached.
2. **Split them across your group.** Set the number of drafters and how many clubs each takes — six people taking five each is the usual shape.
3. **Snake it so the order is fair.** A snake draft reverses each round, so picking last in round one means picking first in round two. With thirty teams and a sharp talent drop-off, that matters.
4. **Share one link and draft it live.** Send the join link, set a pick clock, and everyone picks from the same board in real time. Spectators can follow along without an account, and the pick feed updates on every screen at once.

## NBA Franchise Draft Board questions

### Is this a board of NBA draft prospects?

No. This template is the thirty existing NBA franchises, for drafting teams among friends. It does not contain incoming draft prospects or a rookie big board.

### Can I draft players instead?

Yes, by importing your own pool. Upload a CSV of players and rankings and the same live board runs a player draft — the template only decides what is on the board to start with.

### How long does a team draft take?

About ten minutes for thirty picks on a short clock. It is the fastest kind of draft to run in a room, which is most of why team pools survive in offices.
