# Privacy Policy > What data LiveDraft-It collects, why, and how to get it deleted. Canonical: https://livedraftit.com/privacy Last updated: 2026-10-21 This policy explains what LiveDraft-It collects, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. We sell nothing to advertisers and we don’t run third-party ad trackers. ## What we collect - **Account details** — your username, email address, password (stored only as a salted hash), and optionally your name and avatar. - **Content you create** — datasets, uploaded CSVs and images, drafts, participants, picks and bids. - **Social graph** — friend connections and a record of who invited whom, used to power invite links and friend lists. - **Usage data** — timestamps such as your last sign-in, and basic server logs. If site analytics are enabled, we collect aggregate page-view statistics with no cross-site tracking. We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, in aggregate and not for ads profiling; you can opt out through your browser settings or Google’s [opt-out browser add-on](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). - **Mobile app notifications** — if you allow notifications in the iPhone or Android app, a push token for that device, its platform and its name, so we can tell you when you’re on the clock. It is removed when you sign out on that device or delete your account. - **Newsletter subscription** — if you opt in, your email address, when and where you subscribed (for example the site footer or the sign-up form), the consent wording you agreed to, your browser language, and whether you have unsubscribed. - **Contact messages** — messages sent through the [contact form](https://livedraftit.com/contact) (your name, email address, topic and message) are stored so we can reply, and deleted on request. - **Payment data** — handled by Stripe. We store only a Stripe customer reference and payment identifiers, never your card number. ## How we use it To run your account and your drafts, to process per-draft payments, to send you transactional email (password resets, account confirmation), and to keep the Service secure and working. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we also use your email address to send you product news and tips (see below). We also send ourselves internal notifications about platform activity such as signups and completed payments. ## Newsletter With your consent, we email you LiveDraft It product news and tips. We only add you to the list when you tick the newsletter box — it is never pre-ticked, and creating an account does not subscribe you on its own. Newsletter emails are sent via Resend. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent at any time — use that link or email [hello@livedraftit.com](mailto:hello@livedraftit.com). To show that you agreed, we record when and how you subscribed: the date and time, the form you used, and the exact wording of the checkbox you ticked. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record of that too so we don’t email you again. ## What other users can see Your **username** and avatar are visible to other players in drafts you join and to people you’re connected with. Your **email address and real name are not** shown to other users. Datasets you mark as public are visible to everyone. ## Cookies We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Clearing it signs you out. Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies to count visits; blocking or clearing them does not affect the Service. ## Who we share it with We share data only with the providers needed to run the Service: - **Stripe** — payment processing. - **Resend** — delivery of transactional email and, if you subscribe, our newsletter. - **Google** — aggregate site analytics (Google Analytics). - **Our hosting and storage providers** — running the app, the database, and uploaded images. We do not sell your personal data. ## ChatGPT and Claude You can connect LiveDraft-It to ChatGPT or Claude to set up drafts and make picks from a chat. Nothing is shared until you sign in and press **Allow**. Once connected, the assistant can see and change only what you could on the site: your drafts, your player lists, the draft board, and other drafters’ usernames and display names. It never receives your email address, anyone else’s email address, or your password. Player lists you ask it to build are stored like any other list you upload. What you type in the chat is handled by OpenAI or Anthropic under their own privacy policies. To disconnect, remove LiveDraft-It in ChatGPT or Claude, or use [Sign out everywhere](https://livedraftit.com/connect), which ends every connection at once. ## Retention and deletion We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time, in the app (Account → Delete account) or on the web at [livedraftit.com/delete-account](https://livedraftit.com/delete-account); it happens straight away. You can also email [hello@livedraftit.com](mailto:hello@livedraftit.com) from your account address and we’ll do it within 30 days. Deleting removes your account details, the drafts you host that nobody else joined, your player lists, chat messages, friends, invites, saved channels, notification devices, newsletter subscription and contact messages. Drafts other people took part in keep their results, with your seat shown as “Deleted player”. Records we are legally required to keep, such as payment receipts held by Stripe, are retained as required by law, and database backups roll off within 30 days. ## Your rights Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email [hello@livedraftit.com](mailto:hello@livedraftit.com) and we’ll action it. ## Children The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
