## A board tuned for cricket

Filter and sort players by position, team, and your own custom ratings so the right pick is always one tap away.

**Positions on the board:** Batter, Bowler, All-rounder, Wicketkeeper

**Draft the biggest names:** Load players from across the IPL and international cricket — for example: Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, India, Australia, England

## How to run a cricket draft

1. **Build your cricket board.** Upload a CSV of players from the IPL and international cricket with your own ranks and any rating columns you care about, or start from a template and edit it.
2. **Set the format and invite your league.** Choose a snake draft, a budget auction, or a hybrid of both, set the order or randomise it, then share one join link with your managers.
3. **Draft it live.** Every manager picks on the same synced clock. Auto-pick keeps the cricket draft moving if someone loses signal, and the commissioner can undo a pick or skip a turn if it goes wrong.

## What matters in a cricket draft

The board is only half of it — here is how cricket leagues usually approach draft day.

Cricket is the format auctions were made for. The IPL model — a fixed purse, every player on the block, bidding until the money runs out — is what most leagues are copying, and it maps directly onto a budget auction with a salary cap and minimum bid increments.

Overseas-player limits are the constraint that makes the auction interesting. If your league caps how many overseas players can be in a starting XI, carry nationality as a column and filter on it, or you will win an auction and field an illegal side.

All-rounders distort every board because they score in two disciplines. Leagues that rank them on one number tend to undervalue them badly — split batting and bowling into separate rating columns and let managers weigh them for themselves.

## Cricket draft questions

### Can I run a Cricket draft with my own rankings?

Absolutely. Upload a CSV of players with your own ranks and custom columns, or start from a Cricket template and tweak it. Your board, your rules.

### Does LiveDraft-It support Cricket auctions?

Yes. Run a full budget auction for your Cricket pool with per-manager budgets, minimum bid increments, anti-snipe extensions and optional anonymous bidding — or mix an auction and a snake draft together with the hybrid format.

### Is there a Cricket template I can use?

Browse the template marketplace for community and system Cricket datasets, or build your own in minutes and optionally share it with everyone.
